Yes, compensation of travel expenses is allowed for approved treatment. Arrangements and means of travel should be based on shortest rout and practicality. Typically, round trips of more than 100 miles are not covered. If a non-emergency trip of more than 100 miles round trip is required a request must be made to OWCP in writing.
