OWCP will, on occasion, deny a claim because it was not filed on the date of injury, or the original date of injury is shown to be incorrect, or records contain various dates of injury.  ECAB in the case of A.D. and Post Office, September 29 2015 Dockett 15-0732, held that 1)there is no requirement that claim be filed on the date of injury; 2) the exact date of injury is not necessarily fatal to the claim.   The issue is whether there is a consistent history of injury.
